Step 1: Preparation

Choose your baby yarn colors and enter each one into separate novels.
Start with a slip knot in the first color you chose and chain 150 stitches.
Step 2: Blanket Base

Work a row of double crochets across the entire chain, starting at the fourth stitch from the hook.
Turn the work and work a row of double crochets across the entire row.
Continue alternating between rows of double crochet stitches until you reach the desired size.
Step 3: Zig Zag

When you reach the desired size, switch to the second color of yarn.
Work a row of double crochets across the entire row.
Turn the work and work a row of double crochets on the back of the piece, skipping one stitch every three stitches (creating the zig zag pattern).
Continue alternating between double crochet rows and zig zag rows until you reach the desired length for that color.
Repeat the process with the third color of yarn.
Step 4: Finishing

Once you reach the desired length for the last color, finish with a final row of double crochet across the entire row.
Cut the yarn and pull it through the last stitch to secure.
Use a tapestry needle to hide any loose ends within the fabric.
Finally, block the blanket as needed to give it an even shape.
And ready! You now have a beautiful “zig zag baby Blanket” crochet blanket ready to welcome and warm your baby with love and style.
